The Chief Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate financial and accounting operations within the company. The main duties include maintaining compliance with legislation, ensuring the timely calculation and payment of taxes and other obligations, preparing financial reports, and presenting them to management.
Responsibilities:
• Organizing and controlling financial and accounting documentation and reporting;
• Ensuring accurate reflection of all financial transactions in accounting records and timely preparation of reports;
• Recording operations related to fixed assets, inventory, and cash flow in 1C;
• Calculating cost of goods and services, identifying losses and non-production expenses, and preparing proposals for their reduction;
• Managing cash inflow/outflow operations, turnover, budgeting, and financial/accounting transactions;
• Supervising the preparation of primary accounting documents, settlements, payment obligations, and payroll accuracy;
• Participating in the inventory of cash, inventory items, and fixed assets;
• Submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to tax authorities, SCSA and other state institutions;
• Assessing tax risks and reporting them to management;
• Preparing financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Cash Flow, etc.);
• Ensuring timely and accurate payroll-related processes;
• Preparing and submitting weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
Requirements:
• Higher education (Finance, Accounting, Economics);
• Experience with tax legislation and accounting standards;
• Proficiency in 1C and MS Office;
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chief Accountant;
• Fluency in Azerbaijani, knowledge of Russian is preferred;
• Professional accountant certification;
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and responsibility;
• Ability to work in a team.
