The Planning Engineer ensures timely, quality, and efficient execution of construction projects. They prepare project plans and schedules, monitor progress, allocate resources efficiently, and manage project risks. The Planning Engineer also analyzes work progress, prepares action plans to prevent delays, and provides regular reports to management.
• Plan projects and prepare detailed work schedules;
• Break projects into phases, ensure interconnections, and approve execution timelines;
• Regularly monitor and analyze project efficiency;
• Attend planning meetings;
• Agree on formats for monthly and weekly reports and submit them to the Technical Department and Project Managers;
• Analyze timelines and deviations, forecast, and assess the likelihood of completion within planned periods;
• Analyze delays and execution risks;
• Identify causes of delays and coordinate with construction engineers to reschedule delayed work;
• Use the “critical path” method to analyze progress and schedule parallel tasks if needed;
• Coordinate with cost engineers to calculate required technical resources, materials, and workforce;
• Inform the procurement department of material and equipment needs in advance and ensure timely delivery;
• Evaluate new projects and participate in the tender process;
• Analyze the impact of technical changes during project execution and propose solutions.
• Higher education in Civil Engineering;
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience;
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project;
• High analytical and mathematical skills;
• Theoretical and practical knowledge in project planning and management;
• Responsible, punctual, and team-oriented;
• Fluent in Azerbaijani; Russian or English is an advantage.
