Planning Manager (Construction)

The Planning Manager is responsible for leading the overall planning process of construction projects. They coordinate the work of planning engineers, define scheduling strategies, ensure optimal resource allocation, and monitor the timely and budget-compliant execution of the project. They also provide strategic planning reports to management and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the site is provided with all necessary documents and materials;
• Oversee preparation of construction documentation, risk assessment, and implementation of work methodologies;
• Coordinate and monitor daily work sequences;
• Evaluate technical and commercial proposals from subcontractors and track subcontractor activities including payment documents;
• Provide solutions for problems during construction and report conflicts;
• Submit regular reports to management;
• Participate in technical office policy and procedure implementation;
• Review project contract documents (schedule, design drawings, BOQ, etc.);
• Assist in resolving technical issues during construction;
• Prepare final project reports and submit to the consultant;
• Organize department activities and prepare annual budgets;
• Review, approve, and oversee project execution;
• Analyze project timelines and ensure process improvement;
• Monitor delays and ensure corrective actions;
• Plan resources and prepare monthly reports;
• Set the project schedule and ensure execution;
• Prepare weekly/monthly production reports;
• Develop work execution methods;
• Conduct correspondence with relevant authorities;
• Measure completed works and coordinate material write-offs;
• Participate in handover of completed projects;
• Prepare invoices for completed works;
• Ensure preparation of the technical part of tenders.

Requirements:

• Higher education in Civil Engineering;
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role;
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• In-depth knowledge of project planning and resource management;
• Responsible, punctual, and a team player;
• Fluency in Azerbaijani; Russian or English is an advantage.

Working Conditions:

• Positive and supportive workplace
• Working days: Monday–Friday
• Working hours: 09:00–18:00
• Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
